Community Fibre supporters ...

I had a conversation with Barry Forde yesterday evening (CEO of Broadband for the Rural North), before he presented on stage today at the Fibre to the Home 2013 conference in London Excel.

B4RN have now connected 300 homes at 1000 (yes, one THOUSAND) Megabits per second. That's in both directions.

This has been achieved without any public grant money. Red tape and process makes it very difficult for community initiatives to get access to funding. Perhaps someone in local or central government, someday, will realise this.

Enjoy,
